By Unpious.com Staff Writer · May 31, 2011

Wordle.net produces a word image or a “word cloud” from any text, where the size of each word in the cloud equates to the number of times it is used in that piece. The larger the word, the more times it appears, the smaller the word, the fewer times it appears. The Vertle uses Wordle to create interesting word clouds for Unpious readers.

Here are some quotes we found noteworthy from each of the text sources used:

“There is no difference in this case between the pain of man and the pain of other living beings, since the love and tenderness of the mother for her young ones is not produced by reasoning, but by imagination, and this faculty exists not only in man but in most living beings.” - Moses ben-Maimon, Guide to the Perplexed

“cows’ sensitive faces were shocked with electric prods, fully conscious cattle had their tracheas and esophagi ripped from their throats with meat hooks or knives, and they writhed in pools of their own blood, trying desperately to stand up for up to three minutes as blood poured from their throats” - PETA Reveals Extreme Cruelty at Kosher Slaughterhouses
