The Vertle: Intermarriage

By Unpious.com Staff Writer · June 14, 2011

Wordle.net produces a word image or a “word cloud” from any text, where the size of each word in the cloud equates to the number of times it is used in that piece. The larger the word, the more times it appears, the smaller the word, the fewer times it appears. The Vertle uses Wordle to create interesting word clouds for Unpious readers.

Today’s Vertle is: INTERMARRIAGE

Here are some quotes we found noteworthy from each of the text sources used:

“One is granting a victory to anti-Semites who seek to destroy the Jewish people. Think of what has been sacrificed in the past by our own ancestors to keep their Judaism. And think of the heritage that is being sacrificed for the sake of personal reasons.” - Ask the Rabbi

“A major change in Jewish attitudes towards intermarriage is necessary. It is time to put an end to talks with titles such as “Intermarriage: The Greatest Threat to Jewish Continuity” and begin talking about “Intermarriage: The Unacknowledged Gift to Jewish Continuity.”"- Karen Kushner, Accepting the Gift of Interfaith Marriage, Remarks at the World Union of Progressive Judaism convention, February 9, 2011.
